Start with the decision, not a cheapest-rate claim

Booking direct can be worth checking when an official channel offers an accessible member rate or a useful stay benefit. That does not prove the official rate is cheaper than every OTA rate.

Separate current value from future value

A discount for this booking is immediate value. Points earned after the stay are deferred value. Treating them separately makes the tradeoff clearer.

Check whether the membership is usable

English signup, support for overseas residents, address and phone requirements, and app requirements can determine whether a benefit is practical for an international traveler. An unverified requirement should remain Not verified, not be presented as unsupported.
